
Static mixers
Static mixers (inline pipe mixers) from PREMA-SERVICE are used wherever optimum mixing is required at minimal cost and without the use of external energy. The principle: the medium is passed through a series of partitioning elements arranged in sequence, whereby it is progressively divided.

Static mixers (tube mixers) are used in all situations where optimum mixing is required at minimal cost. The static mixer operates as a pulsating mixing reactor (PMR for short). The pulsating mixing reactor is a continuously operating mixing unit installed within a pipe, with no moving parts and requiring no external energy.
The PMR consists of a tubular housing with elements arranged in series to divide the medium flowing through it. The products to be mixed are fed together to the first dividing element, where they are split into three streams. One of these flows through this element, whilst the other two streams pass on either side of it.
The number of divisions is now 3. In phase 2, each of these divisions is further split in the same way, bringing the total number of divisions to 32. The final number of divisions therefore depends on the number of elements provided. Additional effectiveness is generated by the axial rotation of the liquid flows, as well as by the up-and-down movement and a slight oscillating pressure.
All these processes together create a pulsation effect.
