Monitoring & Control

Modern monitoring and control systems ensure the safe and controlled operation of industrial plants. They record operating conditions, monitor safety-critical parameters and enable the precise control of processes such as pressure regulation, ignition or gas flow. This allows plants to be operated efficiently and critical conditions to be detected at an early stage.

Pilot flame monitoring

The pilot burner flames can be monitored using thermocouples, ionisation or a combination of both methods. In addition, the new, patented CRD (Closed Radiation Detection) technology provides a further robust method for reliably monitoring the pilot flame.

Control systems

Flare systems require various control and monitoring systems:

  • to monitor the pilot burners and control ignition,
  • to monitor and control the steam or air flow in smokeless flare heads,
  • to control blowers,
  • to monitor the purge gas flow,
  • to control the support gas,
  • to control burner stages on ground flares,
  • for monitoring the water level in immersion pots,
  • for controlling condensate pumps
  • and much more.

The specialists at PREMA-SERVICE design, build and implement all types of control systems, using conventional technology or as PLC systems with a bus interface to your DCS.
