Gentle mixing for precise reaction times
Extraction columns
These agitated columns have been developed specifically for processing systems for fuel oils, heavy oils and also crude oils. The extraction column is used for the gentle mixing of liquids. By defining residence times, time-dependent reactions – such as the dissolution of salts – can be carried out.
In this process, these oils are desalted using liquid-liquid extraction and then purified by mechanical separation. The product obtained in this way can then be used in power station turbines or diesel engines for energy generation. No further processing steps are required.
This simple method of purifying contaminated oils offers a cost-effective way of generating energy in accordance with specifications.
The available tank sizes allow for processing volumes of up to 50,000 litres per hour.
These agitator columns are available as standard in an explosion-proof design.
Over the past 20 years, numerous power stations, ships with diesel engines and gas turbines have been fitted with these extraction mixers.
